I'm married to Madison, my carpenter husband, and together we have two hilarious young kids plus two cats. I grew up in Simpsonville, South Carolina, moved away to Columbia for 14 years, and have since relocated nearer to Traveler's Rest, SC. I will never leave the upstate again if I can help it! It is where my heart lies.

Early on I worked for a very traditional design firm in Columbia, then went on to start my own blog and interiors business. Gradually I gained confidence in my own sense of style that I didn't see reflected in my area and it became what I was known for - warm, textural spaces with unique and vintage touches. As I became a mom, I slowed down the business front, working sparsely with clients while I ran a vintage home decor booth and renovated two of our homes alongside my thankfully-very-handy husband. 

 

When you love something though, you stay eternally curious about it. I'm relentlessly digging into historic architecture, soulful homes, nature-driven spaces - really anything related to home that gives me a true feeling versus just looks pretty. What materials did they use? How did the layout create better flow? Can I turn the car around and peek in the windows of this old empty house?
